Frequently Asked Questions:
Why did you choose the hummingbird as your
logo?
I chose the hummingbird as my logo because they are beautiful birds and
it was also my mother's favorite bird to paint and watch. They are
simply fascinating.
Why did you decide to be an accountant?
I have always liked working with numbers and people. Being an
accountant is a dynamic profession because one's knowledge does not
become static. Certified Public Accountants are required to take
continuing professional education courses and with the ever changing tax
laws and regulations, it is a good way to keep the mind active and
engaged.
Why did you decide to open your own firm?
My career goal was always to become a partner or to start my own
accounting firm. With the support and encouragement of my family,
friends and local business owners, I decided that it was time to fulfill
my life-time career goal.
Are you always at the office and what are your
hours?
I am not at the office every day from 8 am to 5 pm since the majority of
my clients prefer to have me work on-site. Hours in the office are by
appointment only and my schedule is flexible in order to accommodate the
needs of my clients.
If clients own multiple businesses, can I
handle them simultaneously?
Yes, I have no problem managing the accounting needs for all my clients
businesses. I work with clients who have multiple LLCs, rental
properties, partnerships, corporations and various other entities.
I heard that some accounting firms outsource
work to a third party. Do you?
All work is performed locally and personally in order to better meet the
needs of my clients.
How do you bill for your services?
Some clients prefer to be billed hourly while others prefer to be billed
at a flat rate. Regardless, an estimate for all services provided will
be prepared, discussed and agreed upon before any work begins.
